HTC Dream

1. Turn the G1 off. If it’s frozen on, take the battery out and put it back in the unit.

2. Hold the Home and Power keys down at same time for about 25 seconds. You will see a yellow triangle screen with exclamation point in the
middle.

Now to wipe the device clean:

3. Press Alt+L.
4. Press Alt+W for a factory reset.
5. Press the Home and Back keys again for about 25 seconds.
The device should then reset again and the hard reset is complete.




HTC Dream Soft reset


A soft reset clears the device memory and closes running applications. Perform a soft reset when your device hangs or freezes, is running slower than normal, or an application is not performing properly. If a soft reset is performed when applications are running, unsaved information will be lost.
To perform a soft reset
1. Remove the back cover.
2. Remove the battery for a few seconds.
3. Re-install the battery, replace the back cover, then turn on the device

To remove the back cover
1. Make sure the device is turned off.
2. Hold the device sideways with the control buttons on the right.
3. Slide the screen panel up to reveal the keyboard and the back cover release tab.
4. Gently push down the release tab with your finger until the back cover disengages from the device.
5. Pull the back cover out then set it aside.





HTC Magic

1. With the phone turned off, press and hold the HOME and BACK
2. Briefly press the END CALL/POWER button while continuing to pressHOME and BACK buttons.
3. When you see the screen with the 3 Android images, release the HOME and BACK buttons, and then press the TRACKBALL.

Tip : If your phone hangs or freezes, remove the battery then wait for a few seconds, and then re-install it. After re-installing the battery, turn on the phone.




HTC Hero

1. With the phone turned off, press and hold the HOME and BACKand then briefly press the END CALL/POWER button. The reset process will start after a few seconds.
2. Wait for the phone to finish the reset process and then press MENU.

Tip : If your phone hangs or freezes, remove the battery then wait for a few seconds, and then re-install it. After re-installing the battery, turn on the phone.




HTC Tattoo

1. With the phone turned off, press and hold the HOME and BACKand then briefly press the END CALL/POWER button.
2. Press the ENTER button to begin the reset process.

Tip If your phone hangs or freezes, remove the battery then wait for a few seconds, and then re-install it. After re-installing the battery, turn on the phone.





Motorola Droid

To reset your phone to factory settings and erase all the data on your phone,
Touch Menu > Settings
> Privacy > Factory data reset > Reset phone.
Warning: All data on your phone will be deleted.

Motorola Droid Hard reset with keys

Power off device.
Press X key on hard keyboard + power button, then release both buttons.

When you see exclamation point press and hold VOLUME UP + CAMERA KEY. You will see Android system recovery menu.
With D pad go to data / factory reset, then press CENTER D Pad, then choose Yes.




Hard reset for Nexus One

1. With the phone off, hold the Volume Down button and press and release the Power button.
2. You'll boot into the menu you see above with the little skateboard guys. Select Clear Storage from the list by pressing the Volume Down button.
3. Press the Power button, and confirm by pressing Volume Up.
4. Sit back while your phone reboots in its virgin state.




LG GW620 [Eve] Hard Reset

To do a hard reset or data reset in LG GW620 aka EVE

Enter using Dial pad

3845#*620#

From menu select factory reset or whatever you want.





Motorola Dext

factory reset

1. Holding the Camera button while turning on your phone,
2. When prompted hit the Volume-Down rocker button to go into Recovery Mode.
3. After you get into Recovery Mode,
4. Press ALT+L to reset, then Menu+Back to reboot.





HTC Droid Eris Hard Reset

Perform a hard reset on your HTC Droid Eris. These steps will clear all data and settings off the device.
1. With the phone turned off, press and hold the Volume Down and Send buttons.
2. Press the Power button.
3. Follow the instructions to complete the hard reset.






HARD RESET SAPP300 aka TMobile MYTouch

These steps will help someone Wipe and Hard Reset the TMobile My Touch
(no keyboard)

1) Press and hold the HOME button and the POWER button together.

2) Keep holding HOME and POWER together for at least 25 seconds, even if the "Startup" screen appears.

3) Release the keys when you see a black screen with a warning sign.

4) At the above warning sign screen, press the HOME and POWER buttons again simultaineously...(10 secs).. and then let them go.

5) Use the trackball to scroll to wipe data/factory reset.

6) Press the trackball in on wipe data/factory reset.

7) When the bottom of the screen displays [DATA WIPE COMPLETED].... roll the trackball to [REBOOT SYSTEM NOW].
Press the trackball in on [REBOOT SYSTEM NOW]
Await for the reboot....Full factory reset completed.





Motorola CLIQ XT (MB501) Hard Reset:

1. Turn the power off. If your Motorola CLIQ XT is frozen, pull the battery out and reinsert it
2. Press and hold the Power and Camera buttons
3. Release the Camera button when prompted
4. Press and hold the Volume Down key
5. A yellow exclamation will appear on the display. Wait until a menu with options will appear.
6. Using the touch screen select Factory Reset and press OK.






Motorola BLUR MB300 MB 300 HARD RESET

1. Power off phone.
   2. Hold camera button and power on phone at the same time.
   3. Release the camera button when prompted to.
   4. You will see a message screen telling you to press the up or down volume button
   5. Press  and HOLD the down volume key (ignore message 'Volume Up Key Pressed')
   6. When triangle and phone screen appears
   7. Press on the screen just above the back key
   8. You will now see the "Motorola system recovery" menu
At this point you will have three choices:

   1. reboot system now [Menu+Back]
   2. apply ssdcrad:update.zip [Alt+S]
   3. wipedata/factory reset [Alt+W]
You can simply tap an item to select it.

At the bottom of the screen you can select OK to apply your choice from the menu.

There is also an opportunity to select Hide on the bottom left, I don't know what that does (I tried it and nothing happened).

Selecting Wipe data/factory reset and tapping Ok and the screen changes to a box and a phone (Get it - out of the box) and you see what is happening on the phone.

Press Menu+Back to reboot

pressing Menu+Back did nothing for me so I tapped 'reboot system now' on the menu and Ok.

The phone restarted and took me through the setup prompts.

Performing a factory reset via settings

The most convenient way to do a factory reset is via the phone settings.
1)From the main Home screen, press MENU, and then tap Settings > Security > Factory reset.
2)Enter "1234", and then tap OK.

Performing a factory reset using phone buttons

If you cannot turn on your phone or access the phone settings, you can still perform a factory reset by using the buttons on the phone.
1)Press and hold the VOLUME UP, VOLUME DOWN and END CALL/POWER buttons.
2)When you see a warning message on screen, press the VOLUME DOWN button to perform the factory reset, or press any other button to cancel the reset.
3)After factory reset is complete, press the VOLUME DOWN button to restart your phone.

LG Optimus One P500 Hard Reset

1. Doing it through settings, Settings>Privacy>Factory reset

2. If your phone is frozen, follow this- (what i did)

a) Turn off the phone. If Power Off not working, remove the battery.
b) Press and hold 'Home' key and 'Volume Down' key.
c) With these 2 keys pressed, press Power button and hold till phone starts to boot in reset mode.

Note: Using any of the above mentioned methods will delete all user data on phone and reset phone to factory default.






Motorola MB502 Blur Hard Reset

Press X and Power Button, wen u get to the Droid.
Press Power button, u will get the System Recovery Menu.
Use Volume to Navigate to your Choice & Enter to Accept.





Huawei U8110 Hard Reset

Press Call, Volume Up and Power Button, wen u get to the System Menu.
Use the Navigate Button to Select your choice
Use the Center/Action Button to Accept.





Spice MI 300 Hard Reset

Press cam, Volume Up and Power Button, when u get to the System Menu.
Use the Navigate Button to Select your choice
Use the Center/Action Button to Accept.





LG Optimus One P500 Hard Reset procedures

Note: As a result of this procedure, all data and application installed on LG Optimus One P500 will be deleted or cleared. However, this process may or may not delete data stored on the microSD memory card. We advice to back up all of your personal data before proceeding.

Factory Reset on Menu Setting

1. From the main home screen, tap menu
2. Select Settings, then Privacy
3. Select Factory data reset
4. Select Reset phone
5. Enter the password if required, then confirm by selecting Erase everything

If the phone is frozen, hard reset it through buttons

1. Turn the power off. If the phone is frozen, pull the battery out and inplace it back again
2. Hold the Home and Volume Down button
3. Press and hold the Power button until the phone turns on
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to hard reset the phone handset

The LG Optimus One P500 will then reboot to its factory fresh default state settings.

press camera vol+ and keep press power on then u see a secret menu on screen select what u want and press ok with wheel





X10 mini

To perform a hard reset on the phone and maintain mini X10 HOME and POWER button on the unit. Within 3 seconds, turns off and vibrate. After vibrate you can release the keys called again and reboot. Note: this procedure on a device that is not connected to the SIM card, only without. In my case, solved the problema.Aparentemente not delete data from a device (agenda is intact) Use at your own risk!





samsung i9000

1) Turn your phone off or remove the battery
2) hold the Volume Down
3) press and release the power button
4) select erase the memory down the Volume Down button
5) Press and release the power button
6) Press volume up to confirm i9000 master reset





SGH-i897 android

1) with the volume key press phone arrives off / down while the phone mast lights
2) Once you drop your phone is on power button but holding the keys Volume Up / Down
3) continue to press key volume up / down at least 8 seconds till the recovery mode this

5) the options are:

* Restart the phone now

* Slide the keyboard open
* As a shortcut, press ALT + W to reset the device factory.
* Press ALT + L.
* If this fails, proceed to next steps
* Press Alt + W to 'clean data / factory settings
* House Press + backspace. Note: You can remove the battery and reinsert.





Performing a HD7 factory reset using phone buttons

if you can,t turn on your phone or access the phone setting, you can still perform a factory reset by using the buttons on the phone.

1. With the phone turn off, press and hold VOLUME UP and DOWN button, and then briefly press the POWER button.
2. WAIT for the screen to show the intructions on how to do the factory reset, and then release the VOLUME UP and DOWN buttons.
3. Follow the instructions onscreen to factory reset your phone.
